Except for the '12s, which you could/can get below invoice....
I think the '13s will be gouged pretty badly. MSRP will probably be a couple grand more than the ZL1; there were LOTS of changes to beef up the drivetrain over the '12s, so I do expect a noticeable increase, but not so much that it won't be competitive with the ZL1 in price. Honestly if I was to get a GT500, I wouldn't bother with the '13s as they'll be gouged to hell due to the hype. The '14s should be ok, as everyone will be that much closer to saying "F it, the '15 overhaul is right around the corner so I'll wait for that", plus the hype would be gone. So if I wanted a Shelby, I'd probably grab a '12 up that is rotting on a lot somewhere and priced to move, or wait for the '14. But that's just me. |

Yeah but I'd be floored if they could make the GT500 as quick around a track as the ZL1. GM has done a bang up job on that pig for sure. It's quick and the GT500 was notorious for not putting the power down with 550HP, now it's got 100 more.... I know they said they made adjustments to make it possible now, but I'll believe it when I see it.
