The OP stated a $30,000 limit. Both the ES and Genesis are over that.

$30k limit. Both a base Genesis and base ES are well into the 30s.

You can get a loaded Accord for well under $30k. Even a loaded up EX-L V6 with leather, nav, and all the extras should be about 28. Skip the nav or V6 and you're in the mid-20s. It's a solid car with lots of room, decent performance, great reliability and resale. For a car-as-appliance driver, I can't see why you'd go with anything else for a midsize.

I vote CC. It's definitely nice at its price point (base I think is $27k), but you can really climb the MSRP ladder with options.

The Accord is a good choice too.

Best bang for the buck....or an Altima(Dad had an 07) it's an excellent car...or an Accord.

Or what about a Ford Fusion...good incentive...Mazda powertrain, platform etc.....

I like the new Sonata except for that godawful grille. Even if you were to design one that wasn't so - shiny -, you would still have to somehow reduce the perceived visual size of it.
