Oh well, I'll be the downer.

As someone who has played the piano for about 40 years, his skills are not technical. He has a decent music workstation - I have a Korg - and I can put a beat on it and have my 12 year old (who does take piano lessons) make the most amazing riffs on it.

I could set the loop, put a orchestal stab patch on the keys, show you how to use the pitchbend and any of you after an hour or two could be on You Tube.

He likely is self taught.

Don't get me wrong, it sounds great but you have to understand the level of technology at which current music workstations operate.

Check this out - this iwhat you can do with NO keyboard ability at all, other people's samples and some music mastering skillz: http://www.kontraband.com/videos/209...Pitch-Up/#show

regardless or his "technicality" or experience, he's still badass.
Its always the people who "have been playing piano for X amount of years" that seem to be the first to hate.

I'm glad someone said it. This guy is doing nothing special. He's picking a tune out of the 100's of options provided in the keyboard and playing basic piano tunes. Anyone with a basic piano skills could do this.

And I am not a piano player. OR a musician of any kind.

hmm..I am from Southern part of India and I can say that music in the first vid sounds like how a lot of movie soundtrack music(NOT Bollywood) sounds there; especially, Tollywood (Movie industry of Telugu speaking people in India). Nothing to offend the talent of this kid though! I am just putting my thoughts out 'cos a lot of people seem to be liking this kind of music. The only problem you might have with that Indian version is that they have lyrics which you or even I may not be able to understand a word about!

he has some musical talent for sure, but its all loops but then again almost all music is. What inspires me though he how into the music he is. Not many players get that into their music but this guy does. Keep on rockin!
