the trailer actually killed my interest to watch it....
John Cusack rushed home and hauled his wife and kids out....into his limo...dodging incoming collapse buildings, then went to an airport...rushed on to a plane...and takes off the very last moment before the earth collapse into the core....and dodging more collapsing buildings....hmmm....
doesn't sound too interesting....

The trailer actually diminished my interest in watching as well.

It could also be seen by the naked eye months before it has the possibility of affecting us. The tidal effect from the moon is minimal and the moon is extremely close. Tidal force decays following an inverse cubic law. If such planet was really to affect earth, it better be pretty darn close, which means that we'll see it way before.
