This.

SoCal is pretty much the baller'ist place for cars, especially OC, if you want to see exotics. Only the French Riviera is better.

No, try Moscow. More Ferraris are in Moscow than anywere else and I bet the same might be true for a lot of other exotics.

I forgot to add that as well as the squared off arches the RS5 will also have an active rear spoiler.

That's hot. Curious that they're going with an NA engine whereas the new S4 and future M3 are FI

I think the development of the RS5 had already reached the final stages by the time of the meltdown in the global economy and to change the engine would probably have delayed the release by more than 12 months.

Some say that it's performance status warrants a V8 instead of a forced V6, frankly I don't care what engine it uses as long as the car is as good as I think it will be.

It would surprise you all I know.

And to the question from Flyinb501, no forced induction for the RS5. But it will have more torque than before and more of it will be produced lower in the rev range.

Personally, I care from both a fuel consumption and torque curve standpoint.

I'm sure you're right as to why it'll be introduced with big 8.

I believe I read earlier that it won't he headed to the US. If that's true you gotta wonder why.

Okay, what is your source? Because from Ferrari's own statistics, these are the biggest markets for Ferrari:

Quote:
U.S. and Canada 28%
Germany 12%
Italy 12%
UK 11%
France 5%
Switzerland 5%
Japan 5%
China 2%
Others 20%
A big majority of U.S Ferrari's are in OC, and Miami.
You say Moscow has the most Ferrari's, but I know you're wrong.

So what is your source or are we playing "footie makes something up just to sound knowledgeable" again?

not to start another argument... but first of all, Footie is somewhat right.
second off all, its impossible that Russia is not included in your list.
Most likely, all those russian Ferraris are bought in EU.

I'm not saying the whole of Russia, only Moscow. And my source is the KGB.

It's not an argument. I just think people don't challenge "claims" enough on this forum. Usually when a statement like "The most cars purchased of this brand can be found in this country/county/city", it's customary to cite a source to prove your claim.

footie has a habit of claiming things mostly on his "gut" instinct.

I doubt Moscow has more Ferrari's overall than OC, but maybe per capita.

But show me a source, and I'll change my tune. So far what I've found says you guys are wrong.

NewSong,

I have been known to be wrong on occasions, but these occasions are few and far between.

footie, I'm just trying to train you to become a better car forum member. By teaching you the value of facts over opinion, I'm hoping we can bridge the gap between sensible and nonsensical post on every forum.

Like i said, im sure that half of them were originally bought and then imported to Moscow (Russia) from another EU country. Otherwise you pay prolly 1.5 times more if you just but it from a salon in Moscow.
Thats why its really hard to get some real info about it...
ok, do you know how many ferraris in OC?
