Somebody in law school (assuming that's even true) should have already adopted at least basic writing skills (including grammar, capitalization and punctuation). Do you make your law school professors fight through work written in the manner that you write on this forum? You may not see it yet, but the bar is high in the legal profession. The sooner you realize that fact, and react to it, the better off you'll be. Don't forget that $70,000 car you aspire to upon graduation (that I assume you intend to purchase with earnings from your first job as an attorney).

So prove me wrong. In whatever response you manage to muster up, use the "Shift" key (there's actually two of them!), toss in a few commas and apostrophes where appropriate (that latter key is probably just left of your "Enter" key), and learn how to spell or let the computer do that work for you ("composition" only contains three "o"s).

OP, good luck, and for your sake I hope you are at the top of your class because no matter what you're in it for you'll need all the help you can get these days.

Very well put Zephyr. It's not the 1990s anymore. And the profession, or most of it at least, was never like that depicted in Tom Cruise's movie, The Firm.

The current economic "situation" hasn't been kind to law firms, although San Francisco's has been holding up better that most cities'. This came out yesterday: http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1202429946488.

Hopefully things will improve later this year.

A lot of truth in this thread. Law school is definitely not an automatic ticket to financial success. Yes, some people get jobs paying $150k+ right out of school, depending on the market, but that is the exception, not the rule. Many medium-size firms here in Miami pay in the $40k-50k range for first year associates, and I'm sure others make less elsewhere. Also, as noted above, those big-salary-no-experience associates are the first ones on the chopping block in this economy.

Find an area of the law that you enjoy, work hard, and the money will come. Don't expect it to be handed to you.

As for the C63, beast of a car. ECU Flash/tune will get you 500hp. If your into going really fast and accelerating like a rocket this car is for you. Makes the M3 feel and look slow.

The big deal breaker was the lack of a manual transmission option in the C63. It's a straight-line monster but for me it felt unwieldy doing anything else. The M3 to me is the perfect daily driver.

I've driven myself one of those. I really liked it, but not as much as I know I would like the E92 M3 or RS4. It places third on my list out of the three, but way above a ton of other cars.
