Wow.

He has a heart attack, she finds him, rushes to get his meds, falls and hits her head, killing herself trying to help him, and the dog that was in the kennel died from dehydration.

Such a sad scene.

That's how it's looking at this point though nobody is sure yet exactly what happened.

Nobody bothered to mention previously that the inside dog was stuck in a kennel?

Wow, what a freaking series of occurrences.

Liked his Lex Luthor character in Superman (1978). Especially him calling Miss Teschmacher!!

What I get from some of the posts is the bigger your home then the more dangerous it is when you get older, ppl falling down long stairs, slipping on shiny tiles, forgetting to switch the gas CH off at night and then there's the swimming pools..the list goes on.

For me, my favorite Gene Hackman role was his performance in Crimson Tide. Absolutely brilliant.

My father passed in 2018. He (and his whole family) had a bum ticker. He had a pacemaker put in a few years before he passed. But he had a box in his house I connect to wifi that allowed them to get reports from it every time he was within 50 feet of it or something like that? I liked it since he lived alone it would alert them if it triggered or saw something "wrong". He'd call them if he was going to be away from it for a few days. You'd think someone with his resources would have had something even better.

Maybe since he lived with someone he didn't have that part turned on??? Wild

We need to remember he was 95, it was a solid innings. It's the wife that is the mystery. The dog makes sense as it effectively starved but the wife, weird.

Gene Hackman died of heart disease, a week after his wife died of hantavirus. Apparently he also had Alzheimers, which I did not know.

It took 9 days to find them. Terrible end for them both and the dog. R.I.P.

Wife has a mother, 91, with dementia. She was told her daughter and Hackman died and was very upset but has since forgot, according to the article.
