Actually, 3 things to say about that:

First of all, thanks for the tip!
My caps (which look a lot like those) actually have a plastic insert where the threads are so it is plastic touching the actual stem, and metal on the outside.
Lastly, I replaced them recently with the official BMW M caps that RichardInCA has. These new ones are all metal, but I figure they are BMW OEM caps, so they should be ok.

Here is a current picture. Maybe I'll go back and forth every now and then. We'll see.

I'm wanting to install some BMW floating center caps on the wheels, preferably in black and white if they are available, but a) I don't know what size to get, and b) I don't have a part number for black ones. I found parts on Amazon, but they give sizes based on wheel bolt patterns: 5x120 or 5x112. Which size is the 19" M Sport wheel on my 2024 i5 eDrive40?

I did some research online and it appears that the G60 uses the 5x112 wheel bolt pattern, which means that the wheel center caps are 56mm in diameter, not the larger 68mm diameter ones that are on the 5x120 wheels.

I ordered these Floating Center Caps on eBay and will post pictures once I have them installed. I'm thinking they will look good with my Red/Black theme for the car. Hopefully before the end of this weekend since they should arrive Friday or Saturday from Miami.
