I know someone who bought one. He had to wait almost one year (11 months) for delivery, but he didn`t even pay a penny over MRSP like some people are paying. It`s all about who you know.

Everything about Porsches these days. Nauseating. They’ve build a fake demand dialogue—-that doesn’t actually exist but everyone thinks it does.

He's got a great gig for sure. I'm still kind of surprised he has enough money to be able to afford GT3's based off Youtube hits.

I dunno...my local dealer told me if I wanted to order a stick shift 992, it was a 2 year wait at that time. This was well past the prime of COVID delays.

How is the USA market for Taycans?
In the UK there are 786 for sale on the biggest car sales site.
Porsche dealers won't take one as a trade in.

The salesman at the local Porsche dealership literally told me not to buy one since it depreciates so fast.

Now at 805 Taycans for sale on the same large UK car sales website.
They are surely going to be a bargain at physical car auction sites for private buyers...traders aren't going to touch them.

Checks out. They seem like nice cars if you want a sort of small, low range EV for a lot of money.

All of the GTS and Turbo models I see listed used are in the 110-150k range, which to me tells me they're not even trying to sell them. Granted, the GTS starts at 140k so people lost at least 30k in a few months and miles, but reality is I don't think anyone is buying them at that price point.

While they're not REALLY competitors but they kinda are, the Model 3 is 40k. With more range. It's hard to believe that someone who doesn't have a strong desire for a Taycan would buy a 100k plus used Taycan vs a disposable Tesla.

It's definitely smaller than a Panamera. Per the internet it's "slightly smaller", to my eyes it looks significantly smaller, kinda like the step from Cayenne to Macan. It appears that the difference in reality is smaller than that, but it looks a lot smaller to me.

Taycan is much smaller than Panamera. I owned both at the same time. The Taycan is very cramped inside. It’s tighter than a new 3 series and Panamera is closer to a 5.

Taycan was junk and lasted 5 months in my garage. I went back to a manual new 911 (992 Carrera T)

The trick to allocations is knowing the right people and or spending a lot of money. No different than any high demand product.
