If it is like the F15 X5 - they do not sell skins - only the entire door shell - ask me how I know.............

It can be fixed, but that doesn't mean it will be. They have to take the door all apart anyway both to fix it and inspect it for internal damage. At that point, how much more labor is it to replace the door rather than weld in a patch. Not much, if any. I know a car that is on it's third driver's door because of people changing lanes into it. If you did not know, and I asked you to tell me what door it was, I doubt you could. A good body shop will make it look new.

Body shops don't like repairing holes in body panels, especially on a bolt on panel like a door that can be easily swapped out (BMW only services doors as complete units, no 're-skin'). Welded/adhered panel like a roof or a quarter panel they'd repair it, but something like a door or a fender they'll likely write to replace it; I'll be shocked if they don't. Work in the industry, have inspected many cars with bullet holes when I was in the field.

It is, they'll find it when they detrim the door. You likely weren't targeted, if you were your car would have multiple bullet holes (have seen this).

Just stick some more of these on the doors and call it a day... Nobody will notice the real bullet hole. https://www.ebay.com/itm/404542500189

Fairly large bullet hole…perhaps a .45 caliber. I’ve had my car keyed but never shot. Either personal vendetta, envy rage, or time to find a new neighborhood..

It would've gone through the door panel if it was from a reasonable distance. Car skins are made of paper thin metal and I doubt there's a support bar in that location. It looks close to the speaker housing location too, which is hollow aside from the speaker.

I currently have the car at a collision center. I dropped it off on Monday and I assume they have worked on it since the car was moved multiple times according to the BMW app. But no calls or updates from my advisor tho...
