The examples that come to mind when I bought here in the U.K. we’re on the f10 , RTTI didn’t get added until around December 2011 or thereabouts.

On the g30, Alcantara headlining wasn’t available until July 2017.

I guess another argument for waiting would be so any bugs are ironed out although you’d hope that bmw would have spotted any issues within a years use of the car.

I thought I read somewhere that the level 3 autonomous features would come in 2024?( is that correct?)

I wonder if individual paint is offered day 1 or whether that comes later?

Agree on the bugs, given how radically different this platform is trying to optimize for all drivetrains including EV, PHEV, and ICE, the electronics could be lot more complicated.

And these days electronics, the multitude of logic and CAN buses drive everything pretty much.

Some options will roll out slowly too seems like all other previous generations like you said.

I do know the process! $1,500 deposit done via BMWs website not your dealer but you can select which dealer you please. You can get an allocation for November it just depends soley on how many pre order your dealer has ahead of you! My dealers order bank only has the two M60 HEAS as my manager has not put in our orders so if your client advisor says they don’t know, you can ask them to go into VSR select pre orders and they can sift through the two engine trims!! I do expect a few people to cancel from now to October so you can also possibly be bumped up!

No October allocations will be able to get Vegas red!! As long as your october allocation isn’t already in 150 status/in production

I work for a dealer so I can pull them up 540 was delayed from what I was told but yes SOP will be available for 540 day 1

Nothing as of yet I believe 550 will be last to roll out for the models
