After working in the business for years, I don't need to read the article. At the end of your shift, you declare your tips and your check will reflect your hourly pay minus taxes on your tips. I remember cashing a restaurant check and the ladies at the bank asking if I needed money for food, I had to laugh and explained that I made cash tips at the end of the night.
