Physical attraction is a factor but really only means so much. Your girl can wake up w/ a big zit pie on her face one day when otherwise she's drop dead gorgeous, and drop dead gorgeous just ain't happenin today. What are you gonna do? Break up w/ her because she broke out from some make up or had a food alergy??? Then you have to decide, "do i like her or her zits?". Point is that one day or another this or that won't look right, so looks kinda go down the tube, but if you really like someone you'll love all their flaws and all the things that make them who they are. We're all gonna be old hags some day w/ a butt load of wrinkles and god knows what else...

Physical attraction is very important...do not kid yourself.

That said...what one finds attractive is subjective. And what you find attractive at various points in your life, changes. Based on what you feel is important in a relationship/partner....your perception of their physical being will be enhanced or diminished.

I'm not gonna lie and say that physical attraction isn't important. Often this is what gets me to approach someone in the first place. It is the personality however that keeps them around for a while.

I don't need some beautiful woman who complains all the time, who has no goals, has nothing to say, knows nothing about the world, and cares more about her beauty than the relationship. We are all going to be wrinkled prunes at some point. By that time I'll probably just be happy to have someone that can help me with my walker

I of course like most other people have my "ideal type" but I've only actually dated anyone who was of that type once or twice (6 ft 1 or taller, athletic solid build, dark hair, etc, etc.) because when it comes down to it I like guys who are smart, funny, personable, into history/politics, and are secret nerds like me and that doesn't always jive with my "ideal" and I'd rather have my man have my ideal personality than ideal looks.

Though I have to admit that looks are still important. As some of you might know I was engaged until a few months ago to a great guy who while not completely unattractive, I was not into like that. While everything else was great I had to break it off because I couldn't stay in a realtionship with someone I wasn't attracted to.

Now that sounds kind of shallow so yes there were some other issues but it made me realize that I want personality first and looks second. I need to still find them attractive so its a balance.

Physical attraction is extremely important, and to all those who say "looks dont matter", they usually have ugly bf/gf and are trying to cover up.. haha..

But the physical attraction is extremely important in the BEGINNING. If a guy approaches me, and he is hot, then theres a good chance ill give him attention. But depending on his conversation, his style, basically his personality, is what will get him my #.

My x bf (the crazy ass one) was hot. He was cuban, with tan skin, dark hair, bright green eyes.. i used to look at him and think hes perfect.. but we clashed when it came to personality. Im outgoing, talkative, wear my heart on my sleeve, and he was very private, kept all his emotions inside. We lasted for 2 yrs mainly cause we were so physically attracted to each other. I used to tell my girlfriends, man if sandy wasnt so hot, i think we'd already be broken up.

But with age comes maturity. Im started to realize that looks cannot be the basis for a relationship. There must be substance. If im ready to look for mr.right then sure, its gonna be his personality that will win me over. But if i want mr.right now, then good looks aint such a bad thing

Well, for me it's DEFINITELY about physical attraction in the beginning but in the future too.

An attractive woman in my eyes has:
A nice smile, her eyes are 'talking', her body is more than OK.(normal BUT FEMININE)

Then:
She needs to be a (VERY VERY)good laugh(I love it so much, I 'm full with somewhat rude/sarcastic jokes in general), positive thinking, have future plans/ideas, is INDEPENDENT/intelligent, and wears nice('sexy') clothes when going out with me and then almost everybody is asking me:Where did you find that cutey, you're a lucky bastard.
