+ a million.
actually think this design has some potential but it needs work. get rid of the slats on the roof and replace with glass for one. looks too much like a Deloreon

I'm going out on an island here I guess, but I think the wheels are badass.
No complaints on the car at all, except that I'll never have one. |

Do I see a LSD? And BMW claimed this hommage car not even has an engine.
Best regards, south

Very good catch S!!
Something is up with BMW's claims. Similar fanned out heatsink as on the M's.

The wheels, dual rear roundels, and the rear slats are the design cues meant to evoke memories of the original M1. Getting rid of them would defeat the purpose of the entire concept.

As far as Adrian Van Hooydonk and Automobile magazine made it sound..the louvers on both the hood and trunk are here to stay. The Wrap-around taillights and LED headlamps are also there to stay. It's also stated that the wheels are production ready too.
My personal opinion is that the car is awesome and while the wheels are a little weird, I like how they evoke the wheels that were on the original. I think a streamlined version of these wheels(maybe with a 1.5 inch lip) would look awesome. Maybe some RGTs'. I'm also all for the dual roundels at the back because thats what signifies a mid-engined vehicle for BMWs, and I also love the original M1. If they're going to proceed further with this car BMW doesn't need to stray too far from the look of the original. This is a perfect evolution...well maybe if they did something a bit better looking with the front air damn and side sills.
