I think the G37 is ugly as hell and bloated.
The 135 is kinda cute, and you can mod the crap out of it. Even stock for stock there is no competition.

Certain colors make the 135 look good. Black, white....yeah thats it. Anything else, and you better have a great imagination to be able to make it look good.

As others have said, if I was purchasing this as strictly a track vehicle, I'd take the 135i. Performance-wise I think it would be fun to drive. As far as if I used it as a daily driver or... hell, even a weekend driver, I'd pick the G37S. Much easier on the eyes and probably not far enough behind to tell the performance difference while driving on the street.
Agreed, the 1 series = yuck.

I love the 135i from the front and even like it from the the front 3/4....
but when I was behind one the other day... I almost vomited. One of the ugliest rears of any car. Undoubtebly the ugliest rear bmw has ever come up with. no offense to you 135iers on the board though. you're still good people.

Please don't start a war. We could have a field day talking about the E82.

I like the e92, it simply took me a while to get used to it. The e82 is the same way for a lot of people - they may not like it at first but it slowly grows on them. |

How about drive them? Ugliness aside, I bet the drive is worlds apart. Interesting that they mention Infinit's 5.1s to 60 is ambitious, while the BMWs 5.1s to 60 is more likely conservative.

It's been a couple months since the e82's unveiling and I know that many, including myself, have yet to warm up to its design. I love the e81 hatch, but I'm just not feeling the e82/3. That's not to say that others can't like it, but it's definitely an unusual design.

However, this transition hardly went well, as flame surfacing needs long, broad surfaces in order to work effectively. The pics you included show how low, wide, and mean the e46 looks. The headlights are squinty and aggressive; the bumper functional and simple. The tail is clean, with perfectly shaped taillights and a crisp trunk design. The lines are bold along the sides, and the profile is just about flawless. The e82 looks like (in my completely honest and frank opinion) a retarded fish from the front. It ditches the e46's masculine lines for curvy, bubbly sculpting instead. The headlights are oversized in relative to the rest of the car, and they always seem surprised no matter what angle they're viewed from. The bumper is too curvy, and almost makes it look like it's a smiling catfish or something. When viewed head-on, the brake ducts look too small, the fenders too skinny, and the hood too non-descript. The character line is too high, and the greenhouse is too small. Because the character line is so high, the sides look fat, and the swage line running at the bottom of the doors gives it a dragging-its-belly-along-the-ground look which is not very flattering. The line in the rockers leads to absolutely nothing, and I don't think there's much BMW can do to help it. The tail is the worst part, given the blobular taillight design, with its cheap looking detailing, and of course the multitude of unresolved lines near the trunklid. Its only saving grace is the faux diffuser. *Note that this is entirely my own opinion. Don't take offense to it if you own an e82.

Non taken, I had a 330ci too. But I think the 1 looks a bit better. But than again the E46 looks dated. Just like when the E46 replaced the E36.

This is very true, it does look dated.^
If the e92 was only a bit smaller, it could be a true successor. By the way I want your M Coupe.
