My wife made a little contribution for this thread, hit on the right front by a stolen car, she had a little glass in her palm and some airbag burns, but crawled out of the sunroof and was fine.

When the customer comes back to get their stuff out of the car, you know they're not dead.

Thankfully the kid and/or dog weren't in the car. Makes me think about using a harness for the dog, but not sure how much that would have helped in this case.

X1 35i. Just paid it off after deciding she didn't want a new car. Replaced it with an LCI 328i, which she already dislikes. Really not sure what's next for her.

Usually fatality has police involved. They inspect car and take pics. The cars also usually have doors cut off by fire dept. Rarely do they even get unloaded from truck in body shop's lot. They come in, paperwork gets dropped and then away to our storage lot. We have our own tow trucks and work with police so we know what's up.

How does one acquire parts from a totaled car before a junk yard gets their hands on it? Junk yards are often sky high on German vehicles

I have a harness for my 100lb doberman whenever she rides in the car, you can buy a seat belt that hooks right on the harness($6 on amazon), it's saved her before when i've had to slam the brakes. Best investment ever for your pet if they ride with you often.

I'm sure people are more afraid of irrational fears than actually dying from something that is 100X more likely....like a car accident.
They'd know because they have to put a Biohazard sticker on it if there was blood or bodily fluids. They wouldn't necessarily know death, but if there was fluids somewhere.

I was looking through the photos and was wondering where the Mustang was. Found it .

WTF is it about Accords and side impacts? Back in 2004 my buddy got in the EXACT same side impact accident when he was T-boned by an X5 that ran a red light. The damage profile on that '14 is, seriously, freakishly the same as the damage to his, then, 2001 model. When I saw that car, I couldn't understand how he survived either.
