Pretty sure this is just a big hype that 49ers fans made up, they're scared of BEAST MODE crashing through their DL. Just sayin' 49ers fans are the only ones that will feel it

I'll take that over the annual subzero winters, tornadoes, and hurricanes.

I remember the So Cal 6.7 in 1994 as a kid and it was more fun than scary. Maybe I'm underestimating what the 9.x would be like... either way, I assume the best plan is still going outside where nothing can fall on you.

I think it's commonly understood by professionals that the fault line in California is not capable of breaching 9 on the whateverthehell scale they use now.

The bigger issue with a 9+ is that it will probably last 60-90 seconds, in addition to being 30x stronger.
60-90 seconds of shaking will topple EVERYTHING onto the floor, and if you survive, you will feel like it lasted a few hours. |

Honestly I don't know anyone personally that has them ready and waiting. In California it's kind of scoffed at & ridiculed when one sees the FEW souls that are collecting military MREs and pallets of water for the impending Armageddon. Californians are just too lax for their own good sometimes lol. |

I've seen this report before and forwarded it to relatives in Seattle and they just shrugged it off. I don't blame them, really. In the report the host first states the tsunami will be 700ft wide then 700 miles. Major cities such as Seattle, Portland and surrounding areas will be "wiped" out. Well, if you say wiped out then wouldn't all the people be wiped out as well raising the death toll to the millions vs just 13K? No wonder the other big news outlets didn't run this story. Too many inconsistencies to be believable and might just cause unnecessary panic.

I don't see a winter jacket stopping any tornado or hurricane.

A while ago the local radio station helped "get you KIT together" I bought emergency kits for each car that have some MRE/water, emergency blanket, and a few other tidbits. I have a bigger one for the house. Each one is designed to last about 3 days off the grid. After that, marauding bands of physically strong individuals will be raiding the coast anyways. . .

It's roughly the size of the entire southeast seaboard spanning from Maryland to Florida so no surprises that everything under the sun is happening in CA.
