Thanks, I'll check it out! He reminded me of below charachter in the Netherlands. I am curious whether this guy based his character on him.
Quite a rude guy who shouts a lot at people... |

This is a picture of the actual cover of Inbound Logistics. It's good to see writers have a sense of humor.

That image you posted is interesting. I lived in Amsterdam while on a multi-year project back in the 90s. I found the women to be refreshingly straight forward and uncomplicated. Maybe I was wrong about them.

About the women, it is certainly true. In fact, it is what we Dutch people are 'famous' for, at least with our surrounding countries: straight forward, uncomplicated and maybe a bit arrogant. |

I love The Netherlands. My client put me up in a house on Nassaukade (Amsterdam) after living in a hotel for a year. Only after living in a neighborhood did I really get to know Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. My kids went to the International School in Amstelveen. What a great experience for all of us. The Dutch are hard-working people who literally made something out of nothing. I don't see you as arrogant. I see you as rightfully proud. |

I live in the south, near the city of Eindhoven. Fifth biggest city of the Netherlands. Amsterdam is cool too, so much to see and do around there. |

I rode to Amsterdam and stayed at the Hotel Apollo. I was kind of taking aback when the Bell Boys were almost fighting to see who was going to take my dirty saddlebags to my room. Then I had to surrender my passport with the desk clerk. Canadian?? Well, I certainly didn't look like royalty in my riding gear. Anyway, they made me feel like a princess and even sent a small bottle of champagne and flowers. It's only afterward that I realized that they had noticed my Canadian military plate. I did participate twice to the " Internationale Vierdaagse Afstandsmarsen Nijmegen" while residing in Germany.

In The Netherlands, there are no hills in most of the country, but they make up for it with wind. That matters when you are riding a bike out in the country. While being a guest at a Dutch colleague's house, I went on a bicycle ride with he and his wife and kids. The way out was fine and I thought I was doing pretty well. Then, we turned around to go back into the wind. I've never worked so hard! The kids were sort of laughing at me. I'm certain it was some kind of test. Gotta love the Dutch.
