My 550e is finally on a ship headed to Brunswick GA. It left Zeebrugge on 10/9 on K-line ship Lydden, due in Brunswick on 10/24.

Now that MyGarage is back up, I noticed that the Production Date on my car changed. It was originally 9/2 and stayed that way when it entered Quality Check on 8/30. When I check now it has a Production Date of 9/27 which is roughly when left QC.

Yes, the production date is updated each step from 150 through 160 when the actual production date is determined.

Well fingers crossed mine is shortly behind yours getting out of QC. I entered QC on 9/5.

Hi guys,
How accurate is the production date on the VIN decoding sites? I ordered a G61 530e mid September and it went into status 150 on the 19th of September, delivery set for W46. Got a VIN# 1st of October and was able to find it through the VIN decoders, no production date set. Last friday it was still status 150 and today I checked with my sales rep and he showed me a screen shot stating 155, which should mean its finished but in QC or something. Did a routine VIN decoding check again on mdecoder and was shocked to see it had a production date stating july 1st 2024! Checked bimmervin, same thing. The decoder on Bimmerworks on the other hand doesnt show any production date.

So my question again, how accurate are they? Is something off or did I get an already built car that matched my exact spec? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Not accurate at all. The final production date of your vehicle has not been determined yet. That will occur when you go to 160.

Without see anything else I would assume that means delivery in week 44 but of course that could be wrong.

Well, for those with cars still sitting in das Vaterland, under the nebulous Quality Check marquee, or for other unknown reasons, here are your various last chances for a November delivery.

After seeing some comments, it seems people's vehicles have shipped out of Bremerhaven or Zeebrugge, so here are all scheduled shipments (subject to change, of course) as of today. Based on fate, it could arrive either before or after you eat your Thanksgiving dinner.

If it doesn't make it on one of these, then it's either going to be an early Christmas present, or a New Years gift.

Although I just had the horrible thought that once it gets to US port it gets stuck there still due to stop sale or some new recall we dont know about yet. I really hope they did all the recalls and work at the factory before shipping it. UGH! ok MiGs.... happy thoughts, happy thoughts.

Yes sir! Optimism is warranted now that the damn thing is out of QC. It doesn’t qualify for the steering issue recall nor is it likely they released it without addressing the IBS issue.

The next boat out of Bremerhaven is on the 24th, and I’m sure as hell hoping mine will be on it.

One question: Did your production date change? If not that literally makes me think that it’s been just sitting there for weeks without any issue.

My original was "prodDate": "2024-09-05" Now is shows "prodDate": "2024-10-14", so from 9/5 it sat in QC status until today.

So you were right about the date, yesterday I saw it had changed on the decoder site to 10/10/24, my man

Callin the rep on friday to hear if there are news bout the delivery, hoping you'll be 2 for 2 and its week 44

My 540i started moving on production today and went to 151. Production date still shows 10/21/24. Excited to see it starting to move!
