^^ GTFO of our thread spammer! Go back to "califorlia"
I haven't done many trades recently, but I'll post a few of my current holdings. I have a position in GLD for a gold play, and shares of KMP for the dividend in an attempt to leverage against the swings lately. I've had a position in Sprint and AT&T for a while. Sprint has been doing a lot better in the last few months though. Also playing MSI which has done well lately.

I'm in on Bank of America, Cisco, and Dendreon. Dendreon (DNDN) has a possible huge upside but is rather risky. I have had CSCO and DNDN for a while now, though I got in on BAC today for a possible quick sale after the new year if we come to a good deal in Washington here soon.

This thread is really interesting, I've always wondered about day trading and some of the analyses you guys do are a lot more technical than I expected.
I'm a buy and hold sort of person, $5,500 on red (VSTMX), January 2nd for me. |

sadly use to be much more active, hopefully ill be more active again posting in here. Problem is I can predict short term for quick trades and people are generally more interested in long term predictions (which are nearly always wrong). Technical indicators are fantastic for short term and thats about it in my opinion, hard enough to predict 10-15 mins out let alone 1 year out

thanks, I'll take a look. He's been using a news feed analysis software/ indicator in beta release and has had some really good results, so I was going to follow in his footsteps. But stockcharts looks like a good place to get educated.

I primarily use options just for leverage, so my strategy really works on any scale just depends on how much money you want to make. Also depends on the risk. There great for making quick trades, I usually try to only make 5 cents off each trade (which is quite a large profit depending on how much you're leveraged). I chose 5 cents as my exit point because it usually is the best selling point for my trades, which are primarily based on stochastic. For sure, options are the most efficient way to make gains in a short amount of time (day trading) from my experience.

I'm a simplistic stock trader, I don't do options, day trading or anything of the sort. I won't go into my total holdings but i've got stock in Yamana Gold, Silver Wheaton, Paladin Energy, Canadian Oil Sands, Pembina Pipeline, Crescent Point Energy etc. anyone have any of these?

AGQ and GDX looking enticing again.......seeing positive divergence.
But overall mkt looking abit worrisome...need to see AAPL do better...VIX hammered over past week and prob ready to start climbing soon which isnt good for the mkts...we shall see. Also like the way FB and RIMM are trading. |
