The US, at a federal level, doesn't [yet] have the climate bandit politicians they do in the EU who've enacted regulations there to ban ICE. Cadillac isn't even sold in Europe anymore so who cares about abiding to their rules. I think GM should stick with this formula.

Offtopic, but I'm really surprised that the M3 / M4 didn't make the list, despite the hideous looks they are great performers. |

Can anyone explain CT4 Blackwings's abysmal Roling Start 5-60 mph time of only 5.3sec ? ( I mean the Car & Driver time with a manual transmission: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...y-the-numbers/ ) All the other numbers are in the ballpark except the Rolling Start. This cannot be simply waved away, because it is the single most important performance metric in real-life driving.
Can this be explained by the gearing, or by multiple shifts required, or by the excessive turbo-lag ? For comparison M32015 M4 Manual and 2021 M4 Manual can hit that time in 4.6 and 4.7sec respectively, which is in the different league entirely. I keep eyeing this CT4 as my next car (because I am fed-up with BMW charging Ferrari-like prices for parts & labour), but I am afraid that this disappointing performance number will make the Caddy feel not much faster than my current 2014 M235i. |

Curious to hear if anyone has actually driven the CT4-V BW (or 5, but more interested in 4). I would really like to hear a comparison to the M2C, a car I really enjoy.
I have actually ordered one though I don't see how it fits into the stable next to the M2C and it seems to me that it's likely one or the other, at least for me. Really hoping someone has firsthand driving experience with the Blackwing. Thank you. |

The one thing that looks funny to me about this car is the 18" wheels. I just think 19s would look better. Thoughts? |

I don't mind the small wheels, gives the car a bit of extra tire and likely also helps give it the excellent ride quality with the Magneride suspension. I believe you can get special ordered Magnesium wheels for the Blackwings that are 19's. |

SavageGeese nailed it as usual. I agree with almost everything they put up in the video.
Making it harder and harder to decide between a CT4-V BW and an IS 500. |

Good points on the wheels. Re sold cars going on websites (like Cars.com, etc.), it actually happens automatically in the "system"; I don't believe they list these cars intentionally. Indeed, my M2C that I ordered in June and bought in Aug. went up on the sites and the dealer got offers for it...and still sold it to me, because it was "sold." |

Excellent technical review from savagegeese of the CT5V Blackwing, probably the best and most comprehensive if you want a more in depth understanding of the technological underpinnings.
Seems to me as BMW is going softer and more mainstream with every generation that would make your typical Lexus buyer smile, Cadillac is going to where BMW used to be in terms of driver engagement and fun to drive factor. I would not have imagined this 10+ years ago, and I would not imagine that I may even consider buying one. |
