Yeah, I've got some good coin tied up in ARs. Problem is, I have to drive an hour plus to enjoy them. Last few months I've been trying to decide if I want to keep them or sell them and supercharge the M3. I super attached to the one because it took me almost a year to build it. Parts are hard to find, etc.

I shoot my carries often to stay familiar. And I shoot my shotties weekly. I shoot trap.

Nice I just found an outdoor rifle range about 5 miles from me and have 2 other indoor ranges within 10 miles. Plan on preparing for 3 gun at some pt. Colt m4, sf 1911 or mk2 hi power and 870 shot.

Similar thing happened to me. I had my first G23, Baby Eagle and a long barrel AR from 1996 to 2012. Then all of a sudden added 7 pistols, 4 ARs, 2 other carbines, 2 shotguns and a good sized safe to hold all the guns as well as a steadily replenished stack of 15k to 20k rounds of ammo. I didn't buy anything after that for a LONG time. Until i found...... optics. lol Don't let optics do to you what they did to me!

Nice! I hate that I live so far from the ranges but I love being near the city. Can't have both, I guess. I wanted to try 3-G for a while but those events don't really happen around me.

I like your style. I have two carries. Kimber 1911 Master Carry Ultra and a Glock 26. The Glock pretty much stays in the glove box. Bought it for that purpose. My safe queen is a 1960s Hi Power. It's in mint condition. I swear, it looks like it has 100 rounds down range on it. I always want to take it out but I have to remind myself that I can't. Lol! I may buy another one that's newer for a range toy.

I alternate carry between the loaded 1911 govt and fn mk2 surplus gun. Check out aim surplus if interested, mine has decent amount of patina but looks great and nice shooter. Need to change out mainspring cuz unsure if it's been done. Initially had ftf issue but was just the oe mag spring being soft.

I like they way you think.

Still acquire guns and ammo, don't have to spend money on car except for fuel and tires and STILL be fastest at the track.

Seriously though, i've got a couple of EOTECHs, Trijicon SRSs, Trijicon RMR & ACOG and Aimpoint Micro. Aimpoint micro 2moa with Larue mount is about the best bang for your buck when it comes to red dots. Simple, doesn't weigh much, rugged, long battery life.... still one of my faves among the other heavy hitters. It's only second behind the Trijicon SRSs i have mounted on the Tavor and Sr-15. But if you factor in price of the two, the Aimpoint Micro has to be the winner at 1/3 the cost.

I used to have an Argentine Police issued FN Hi Power. Looked beat to hell compared to the safe queen. It didn't run very smooth. I was a little bummed. Wound up selling it a few years ago.
