It's not much of a plan. I try to at least 4 days a week eat 6oz of pulled bbq chicken and 1 cup of steamed rice for lunch. That's a 465 cal lunch loaded with protein and a carb that my body and GI likes. That small calorie meal, for some reason, keeps me happy until 7pm. Monday is burger night, Tuesday is Chipotle, Wed is pasta and either grilled chicken or chicken sausage. Thursday is something similar to Wed. Friday will range from pizza to brinner. Saturday lunch is usually pulled pork, baked beans and a dinner roll with dinner similar to Friday. Sunday is usually a sub type sandwich for lunch and typically something grilled for dinner. I don't typically eat breakfast. Always have 20 oz of water before leaving the house. Days after evening workouts i'll have a Muscle Milk 100 in the morning. I supplement lower calorie intake days with Quest protein bars. I also have a hand full of dark chocolate covered almonds and dried fruit after dinner almost every night, about 215 to 240 cal worth. Probably worth mentioning that i get a veggie with every dinner as well. Sometimes with lunch. Also get a minimum of 60oz of water every day. My macros are about 40% carb, 30% protein and 30% fat. But because of the chocolate almonds, my fat macro runs a little high usually at the expense of protein. But i still average about 125g of protein a day. My daily average NET calorie intake hovers around 1600cal. Actual calorie intake daily average is about 2100. What i think slowed down my weight loss was consuming all of my burned calories i got for steps and workouts. Last week i started making sure i only consumed about 40% to 50% of my burned calories and i lost a full pound again. I think this week i'll average the same loss again. I don't feel like i'm starving myself, i don't really ever feel hungry except after longer rides. But i suppose you should feel hungry after burning 1400 calories.

I believe it's just a matter of our bodies being used to things. Yours a lack of water and mine, plenty of it. I also figure that plenty of water keeps kidneys in good health.

I got diabetes at 41. At 42 I got down to 137lbs at 5'10". My blood sugar was always 300+. I started using insulin and in 45 days I was 208. Unreal situation. I changed my job and moved and 6 mos later I was in 150's. Stay 150-170 depending on season. Hockey season 170, bike season 150.

Personally, I'm on a homeopathic remedy for weight loss and lost 35 lbs since the new year (I would have lost more if I stayed on track, but Chinese New Year and a couple of other chances to eat like a king), combined with light exercise and a meal plan very similar to Atkins.

Right there with you. I like Indian food, but often pay dearly if I dare to dabble in the spicy stuff. And I'm not talking serious heat, either. Just mild spice. Still kills me. And my favorite stir fry stuff, bell peppers and onions...well, let's just say Wifey prefers it if I avoid them.

Good to see enthusiasts are the ones going for the M2. From the Discussions board: "FNG question(s). I've gotten decent prices from my dealer for the grills, spoiler and rear diffuser, but the labor is BS (119.50/ hr). Like $300 to install the grills BS. I think I can do it myself. Of the three pieces I want are there any I should let the dealer install? I figure there has to be how-to videos on installing this stuff. Thanks in advance."

When you use insulin, you HAVE to match the food intake. The natural feedback mechanism isn't there, so weight-gain is a part of that initial regulation of your doses. I was on one trial and they kept ramping up my doses because of my fasting readings before meals. Problem was I was crashing between meals, macking candy to return from the lows, then high at meals. I put on 10% (190-210) in a matter of 2 months, and threatened to quit if they didn't let me go back to my normal doses and quit the titration protocol. Dropped back to 200, but I've been stuck there for about a year now. Sugar is a HELL of a drug |
