BMW has categorically said that the will be no 6'er for 2026 despite all the speculation.

I want to send a big thank you to ynguldyn for all the information provided.
I had been holding off on ordering an i5 Touring until the new updates were in place, only to see that the iX LCI practically fixed all the things I had against the car.
Now the iX is ordered—huge thanks!

  • Will be made in Germany and SLP (SLP starts with one year delay).
  • Will include ZA0 M3 and ZA1 M3 Touring.
Not sure on when exactly it would come to the US, but unless ynguldyn has specifics on that I'd expect it to be similar to the iX3 delay in rollout. Don't know if SLP is solely for the US or if any German-made cars would get to the US earlier.

I mean, the post I quoted does in fact state that it includes the electric M3.

First spec data for NA5 is in the top post. Compared to G45, it's a little longer, a little lower, and a little narrower.

G75/G76/G77/G93 - 8 series

I haven't seen any Spy photos. Is BMW still considering a next gen 8 series gran coupe?

@ynguldyn nitpick: the last entry on the front page says "February 2024" instead of "February 2025"

I feel like I'd rather stay in 2024.

After reading this on AutoExpress (https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/bmw/36...wd-awd-or-bust) I wonder if the info is misunderstood and perhaps only applies to the NA/ZA models, not the NB models. NB0 is getting close to SOP so probably a bit late to change the filosophy of everything sub 3 series level on a FWD bias. Any thoughts ynguldyn?

There's nothing to change. NK is a clean slate.

ynguldyn have you heard anything regarding a touring version of the next gen g84 m3? I see your reference to the ZA1 M3 touring and hoping there will be an ICE equivalent. And that it makes it to the US this time.

I've asked the same, and based off of the schedule in the pinned post I'm starting to be a little worried that it either won't happen (since we haven't even seen a mule) or they're overhauling the design based off of all the feedback they've been getting on other models.

It's troubling because if the 8(or 6 or whatever they were gonna call it) goes away, then I'm left with VERY limited options in that segment.

I think with BMW committing to the V8 for the foreseeable future, Mercedes announcing a new FPC V8 for the CLE and other models, along with Porsche announcing an $800m investment in ICE, that would be an incredibly shortsighted move on BMW’s part.

I have no problem with EV cars and stuff but that leaves them massively exposed with the 4 and 2 as their only coupes, leaving a lot of money on the table for the premium market.

Does anyone know the typical leadtime from production start to the first deliveries for Europe (UK specifically) - I guess this may vary but there may be a rough duration for prod to delivery?
