I’m sure the Naim is great but haven’t listened to it for more than about 30 seconds so can’t really comment on that one. I would hope it’s amazing for an extra $8k or whatever

Smile

May be the final couple of months with my F15. She's been very solid and has aged quite well. Freshly detailed the other day and snapped this.
Looking to replace her with either a G Series M60 ior X5M or RSQ8

TX why replace it? If it's running strong what is there to gain dropping more coin on a car that's just got more intrusive tech and looks uglier (if it's a BMW).

Great point and a fair question. My wife has expressed interest in a replacement after seeing and being inside the new one. I'm currently and actively searching for my M8GCC.
We've both been patient and smart about the process. It's always nice to be in a position of want vs need.

A fall tradition...warming the convertible tops in the sun (making for easier raising/fastening). They've been down and folded since spring.

Looks good. Curious why you don't leave the tops up in all-weather road-ready condition?

Thanks. It's an effort to minimize wear. The tops stay up from mid-fall to mid- spring, then down and folded during the warmest months. Both are difficult (almost impossible) to raise and fasten in cold temps.

Had the front windows tinted on the wife's new daily. Her old daily is now the beater so I can finally retire the Hellcat from winter duty.

I still want a better winter daily, though LOL. The life of a car person.

Which position, folded or up, creates more wear?

Both positions have wear problems. With the tops up they're exposed to dust and the harsh effects of the sun's ultraviolet rays. Before lowering, I first clean the material and plastic windows then strategically place micro-fiber cloths (to minimize abrasion) otherwise any dirt can cause scratches...that's the biggest reason I only lower and raise the tops once a year. Both vehicles are more enjoyable driving with the tops down (neither are very air-tight up).
