Those W/ Logitech G27 Or Fanatec...
how long have you been using it and how is it lasting? no problems what so ever? how long do you play for at one seating, any issues with over heating?
i think im finally gonna make the purchase of playseats evo and a wheel/pedal set. i remember amazon had logitech g27 from various sellers for like $200-$220 but not they straight up $299.99 as shown on logitech.com, guess they started enforcing it? any other good choices besides the playseats? the only thing that bothers me about it is the pole that is between the gas and brake pedal and the seat does not recline (worried about comfort). any word on the next gen logitech wheel (g29?) or fanatec i should be thinking of waiting for? fanatec fix their driver issue with f1 2010? if you have a setup, please do post pics as well .

I ordered a G27 in late January and I still haven't received it. Either Logitech is perpetually out of stock or they suck at shipping.

I have a fanatec wheel, shifter, and clumsier pedals. So for they are unreal. The feel of the fanatec wheel in alcantera is really nice! No complaints on mine either except for shipping delays...

I bought the logitech g27 slightly used in January for GT5. I use it on weekends and so far its been great. My only gripe is the gearbox feels cheap - I feel like the shifts are not precise and lack the solidity that a real shift in a car would give you.

Finally got mine about two months ago. Transformed GT5 to the point that I played it more than Forza which I thought would never happen.
The motor is pretty strong, the steering is silent unlike the G25's, and the shape is decent, though I would prefer something with a thicker rim. The paddles have a weak travel although there's a reassuring click at the end, but it's nothing that feels solid. The shifter, as one of the prev users stated, is the weak link; feels light, flimsy and indirect. At least it feels durable. The pedals are fine, but I wish there was a way to invert the clutch and brake pedals like you can with the Fanatec set. The pedals feel properly weighted which is a plus. I'm almost 100% satisfied with the purchase. It's definitely a bargain. The only real cons that come with the set are the paddles and shifter. If you're thinking about a wheel and you don't want to shell out stupid money for a Fanatec you won't regret it in the slightest.
