another thing, i don't know your financial's, but if you have to make a spreadsheet to 'budget in your maintenance', this car isn't for you. it's probably the most fun car anyone can drive, but it's a mother fucker keeping running at peak, and that's addictive. i'm sure a stock gtr is much easier to keep up, but i'm pushing big hp. either way, the fluid changes start to stack up, not even mentioning the price of insurance, which i have a clean record. it adds up very quickly. but like i said, i love the car very much. i'm loosely trying to sell it but not too motivated right now. it's just so much fun to drive. |

^ haha i hear ya. i was just curious to see how much the car really costs to maintain. i think it over hyped on the net but it is pretty steep.

you think i'm lying. just because i get a ton of tickets doesn't mean i have them on record. i haven't had a ticket stick to my record since 2003. i always fight my tickets, and with a little due diligence and an attorney, it pays in the end.

Just from common sense. If you're going to buy a $100,000 vehicle, you better have another $50,000 backed up for repairs, maintenance, insurance, and aftermarket parts. If you're not tracking the GT-R, there's just no point in getting it.
I find it hilarious when people think they can afford a Lambo with just 250k. If you don't have the capital to at least cover 50% of the purchase price, you can't afford it. The same goes for any other vehicle and scales down logarithmically as it goes down.
