Next ride?
So I have decided that once the Bimmer is paid off, I would like to add a secondary (FUN) car to my garage. I am stuck between the first gen Dodge viper GTS and the second Gen SRT10 roadster. I have always loved the looks of the Viper GTS, however the SRT isn't exactly a dog either. I have driven both in the past and found neither one to be hugely different from the other in terms of overall driving experience. So I guess I am looking for some third party opinions. The car wont be driven very often which is why I have no problem living with a brute like the viper.
( Please note that I am only looking for honest opinions from people in regards to the Viper. I realize there are a lot of Corvette fans on here and while I have huge respect for the Corvette due to having actually driven some of them, I will never buy one due to personal reasons from being completely bent over by GM in the past and refuse to own any of their products regardless of how good they might be! ) Thanks guys. |

Check this article from Insideline out. It's about the old Viper R/T10 and the current SRT10.
http://www.insideline.com/dodge/vipe...per-srt10.html Perfect timing considering your thread. Imo, the first gen Viper's interior and overall looks just aren't to my tastes. I love the current-gen SRT10 though.

Question is you just got your 135...will you pay it off in 5 years? Because by then many things can change.

I will have the 135 paid off in less then 2 years from now. The nice thing is the 135 only eats into less then half my automotive budget. So lately Ive been making the monthly payments while socking the other half away for a huge final payment. I plan to buy a Viper within the next year provided I can keep the GF from buying something too expensive once she decides to replace our Jeep. She has her eye on an X5....However if I have my way, I would like to pick up a new Grand Cherokee instead. If that happens, I should have a viper in my driveway by next fall at the latest.
