Parking Ticket
So I got a parking ticket...
HOWEVER, what I'm concerned/questioned by is the fact that I only got the envelope... There was no citation attached or anything, I just got the envelope in which you can send the payment + ticket. It has the City of Los Angeles PO box on the front, and it says City of Los Angeles Parking Citation on the back, just like any other parking ticket would. I dun get it... Does this mean I'm in the clear? Or do I have to waste time trying to search for a reason to pay the city? Anyone experienced this/know wtf I should do? TYIA

Yeah, there's a number on the back of the envelope, but they're only available until 5pm PST, and I've been busy w/ work ever since I got the "ticket".
And the number's a toll free number, w/ an automated answering machine that you have to sit through for like 30 minutes until you're connected to an operator because you run out of options.

Unless it was a joke, they have you in the system. Those automated systems piss me right off, as do places that close promptly at 5. Just call one day while in the car driving, I guess. Pretty much guaranteed to waste an hour of your time here.

Someone either put their empty envelope on your car, or took out the ticket that was in the envelope on your car. There a lot of pricks out there....most of them being traffic officers haha
Good luck in getting it sorted out |

Dude, that sucks....
Got an idea, how about you go up to one of those scums and tell them what happened, it'll save you time and maybe than can clear it up for you. Ps, they are all over ventura blvd, shouldn't be too hard to find one |

Maybe it flew off, maybe it's a prank.
Check the appropriate agency's site and enter your VIN or plates or just wait in the mail for a reminder - which they never forget to send. Fuck parking tickets.

Yeah, I was in line to pay my ticket (waited an hour and a half), got to the front and found out that it's not even in the system yet, so they told me to gtfo.
I come back to my car, and I see parking enforcement drive off and an envelope on my car.

i got one at the beach, the payment machine wasnt working and only accepted 5 bucks out of the 8 bucks, i put that incomplete payment stub on my car, and the ****er still gave me a 60 dollar violation. i appealed and put my friends fully paid ticket in there as proof and they declined my appeal, even though there really wasnt any tracking number on the tickets
