Jailbreak iOS4
yeah yeah another iPhone thread... but do forgive me
I recently jailbroke my friend's 3GS on iOS4.0 with little problem However, I cannot seem to do it on mine... His was 3.1.2 4.26 as is mine... both 3GS bough the same day.. I've done the JB and the unlocks on both... yet mine doesn't seem to go through.. I put the iPhone into recovery mode (as iTunes recognizes it), yet it won't let me load my custom firmware Now the strange thing: when I reboot my iPhone... everything is still there. Nothing was deleted, nor was the OS reset.... Now my only option left is to put it into DFU mode... but I'm somewhat afraid that if I do put it into DFU mode and iTunes again doesn't load my custom firmware... I'll be either forced to update to a legit 4.0, losing my unlock and ability to jailbreak, or being forced to downgrade to a 3.1.2 firmware... I should prly post this on macrumors... but there are quite a few iPhone people here :P This i my attempt at running 4.0 before I get my iPhone 4 as I was too lazy this year to spend X amount of time online and X amount of time in line..

i got my 3GS to JB fine but the only problem is multi-tasking doesnt work. and when you try to set up the home button functions, spring board crashes. Very annoying
I am enjoying multi-tasking on my iPhone 4 though |

Quick question, after you jailbroke and updated to ios4 have you noticed a significant drop in battery life? I used to have 20-30% battery left on my 3GS at the end of the day, now after jailbreaking ios4 I have less than 10% at the end of the day.
