A sh!tty day!!!

Hey all!!!

This is my very first thread, but unfortunately this is going to be a pissed off one.
I got pulled over today for my tint I got done last week (20% rear 35% front)
and at the time I forgot my wallet at my work and didn't have my license on me. So, he gave me $110 for the illegal tint in the front, $80 for failure to produce license, and 10 days fix it ticket. I wouldn't be so pissed off if I got pulled over for speeding and than got fine for my tint, but pulling me over just for my tint on front windows is little too much in my opinion.

Hopefully, my next thread will be a postive one.

okay, that's enough Canada-bashing.

To the OP, that sucks. I just got my ride tinted too, but no hastles yet. Perhaps, you can "fix it" to a 50% tint so that you can still get some of the effect without pissing off the cops?

He has a year and a half. He can do plenty more damage.

To the OP - man why are you so pissed for getting caught? You broke
the law, did you not?
Take it like a man and accept the consequences. That's what I'll do if
they give me a ticket after I put my 60% HO.

sorry to hear that man...that sucks.

i've heard in some areas of BC (in the interior) they even have tint checks where they pull you over to inspect your windows. which is why i decided to go with Huper Optik 50 all around...even though most people think that's not dark enough

and on overcast days i always open up my sunroof visor to let more light in to make it look like it's not tinted.

welcome to e90post. Look, you know it was illegal to have dark tint. Yeah, you like it with dark tint but this is the consequence you have to pay. You cant have your cake and eat it too. It could have been worse but better luck next time.

Wait, I thought donuts just work on US cops Maybe some Canadian Bacon instead

To the OP though, yea that's too bad. Personally I don't like tinting the front at all. So is tint in Canada illegal in general, or a certain %age allowed?

depends on the province...some allow it to a degree, some dont, and some leave it to the officers disgression.
