Top Gear: Who is the STIG?

I don't think the STIG's true identity has been released but I know there has been a black one and a white one. Any guesses on who the white one is?

my best guess is some F1 driver who used to have a great name. that or sebasitan loeb. being a WRC watcher, that guy is a total monster!

There's been plenty of names been going around. They released the name of the black stig after he was retired. He even wrote a book...you can probably Google his name.

There has been suggestions that white stig might be several different drivers...but I wonder about that given that he always seems to be the same height.

only question is how chuck gets his ears into the helmet.

you know its most likely several people? they stick that opaque helmet on him and put him in a full suit so that when they use diffrent people to make the track runs people dont bitch about inconsistancy, also this way if it has been the same guy he cant demand more money

yeah wikipedia does state that the stig's identity changes depending on the car such as the Enzo, the F1 car and so on. Other than that, i think the studio filmed ones with regular cars that are rented to the program is driven by the same guy.
