Ok you're right. It isn't fair to call USPS out on this. I go to school in Philly and and the phone was shipped to a military APO in Jamaica, NY. Both bad areas. So if I were to blame anyone it would have to be both those offices. BTW I didn't insure it. I've never had a lost, stolen, or missing package so I didn't think to insure it. So I'm screwed out of a 2G iPhone and $237.50 to refund the buyer. I'm still arguing with USPS but without insurance I'm F'ed.

the USPS's so-called "tracking" system is very slow. Most of the time, the package would arrive to my house before ANY information is posted to the tracking system. I only use it to make sure the package has arrived, but not to track the progress.

I have always been using USPS priority for years. It is fast and inexpensive. Don't know how you guys can complain for the price.

FedEx is the only shipper I have no complaints for.

I have had times where UPS package mysteriously disappeared between my local terminal and the "out for delivery" transit time.

USPS has been unreliable even for my local service.

International deliveries are frustrating mainly due to the customs regulations ....... or lack thereof.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Hopefully it will show up in the next few days or so.

Usually they are all pretty good as far as shipping goes:USPS, DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc. The main beef I have against USPS are their tracking system as well as the lost and found/trace system. If a package is not received by a certain amount of time it takes them up to 3 weeks to find the package!! As for the tracking system, it's not really a real time tracking and is more of a delivery confirmation so it's not a huge deal. However, it would be much better for the customers to know where their packages are. Other than that they are alright in my book.

That's because it's not a tracking system like FedEx or UPS'. Their thing is called "delivery confirmation" so it basically just shows when the package is picked up and when it's delivered.

Fedex is the worst one I have ever experienced. I can deal with shitty tracking system but leaving my package outside my house and expect no one to steal is just retarded. And I also hate how they ship to my neighbors house when I am not home.

Let's be honest. The USPS is a failing entity. If it were a private company it would have gone bankrupt years ago. It looses 100's of millions of dollar every year and is 98%staffed but the lowest dregs of the weakening and ever increasingly lazy American work force What did you expect?

Yeah but if you look at all their "track & confirm" services, they're basically delivery confirmation. They don't have a real time system like UPS and FedEx.

i try to avoid USPS as much as possible.
last time i sent 3 A4 papers to South Africa using DHL costing me +$80 which was supposed to arrive 2-3days. i ended up telling them to discard it and throw it away while in transit. cause it got routed to Portugal and had total transit days changed to +1week. only UPS and Fedex had done me good so far. domestic/international, never had a problem

GL with this issue and hope everything works out

I might be missing something here...you said that you try to avoid USPS but gave an explanation for DHL?

The tracking on USPS is so freakin' frustrating. It never, ever changes. They should just eliminate that as an option because it never works and is just pretending to be reliable like tracking from FedEx and UPS.

The USPS tracking, no matter what, always says:

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on DATE to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.
