Probably just took the plate off of his 911 to make it "look" like its registered. 99% of cops would be the wiser I'd bet.

Could also be registered as a kit car (even if its not) which could have created a loophole large enough to drive the car through. That's how Noble does it. They just sell the car and the drivetrain separate and then the owner reassembles it after they take ownership.
