I also agree with getting what she wants.

You have your car, she has hers.

my simple answer is safety and practicality. the A3 will be better for when we do pop out a few little ones too!

I would say none of them.

infiniti ex35. power, luxury, style more so than the a3/mini and designed from the ground up for women.

you will thank me because one extra thing the ex35 has is higher ground clearance and easier to sit as you don't have to lower your body down to get in the car. in the long run, it will take a toll on your wife. not to mention top notch reliability and electronic.

Get her a Clubman S, very fun car. The A3 is nice but isn't anything special. I actually had more fun test driving a Cooper S than I did in a 135i convertible. Yes its alot slower but there was just something about the Mini that was so fun. My wife would love one too but she is stuck with the main family hauler.

Garage List
Can I throw another very recent addition worth consideration.

2010 VW Polo GTI

I've seen photos of it and it actually looks more muscular than the Golf GTI and I bet it will be even better to drive with 200hp and very little weight to pull around. For those interested in something even wilder there will be a CUP version with (wait for it) 280hp from it's 1.4TSI (supercharge+turbo combined), that's 200hp/L.

Not for the faint-hearted.

I went ahead and picked up a 2010 Mini. Base model Chile Red with white roof, mirrors, and bonnet stripes plus: automatic trans, arm rest, sport seats, and bluetooth/ipod adapter. I was going to buy a used one but when they offered me 2.9% APR on a new one I couldn't refuse. Looks like wifey is gonna have one awesome Christmas! I'm taking her to pick it up on Monday and the dealership is gonna have a big bow on it when we get there.
