For those that took a trip to Europe, how long and how much money did you bring?
I'm thinking of doing a trip to England sooner than later. Just curious (aside from the air fair), how much money did you spend overall? How long did you stay and such? Details!!

I was just in Denmark/Norway in the middle of september. When a quarter pounder at McDonald's is $12 (literally) you have to be creative to keep your spending down. The places where you'd find inexpensive food here in the US don't exactly translate overseas.
Another example of this that I noticed when I was over there was that 7-Eleven is super trendy up there. Its almost like Starbucks as far as quantity of stores/public exposure, etc. Could just be that things are different that close to the arctic circle.. Haha. In all seriousness, just try to keep in mind that EVERYTHING is twice as expensive, from beer to packs of gum and it will all add up quickly. Have fun on your trip! |
