Whats your 2007+ future plan? *long & serious only*
Might be a little early for year 2007 plan, but planning ahead is always good. Im not strictly talking about just 2007, just your general future plan for the next 2~5 years. Once a wise guy said, brightest light can only be seen when you face the darkest darkness. Im facing one of the toughest time in my life this year, and something hit me that I really should make some serious plans and decisions.
Since most bmw owners are well educated and experienced, I would like to get some valuable insights from all of you by reading you guys' future plan. Give me your quick "My 2006 Review", and future plans. I'll start off. 2006 Review: Some great memories, and some painful memories. I've made some great choices, and some bad choices. At the end however, I appreciate year 2006 for giving me a chance to learn and grow up even more to become a better person. God is on my side, and I thank him for every little happiness and sadness he gave me. 2007+ Plan: Time to move to a different place and experience different things. Meet new people, be social, learn how to do things I don't like to do. When it comes down to my personality and attitude, try to change the bad part of me, and maximize the good part of me. Live with a girl, learn responsibilities, gain know-hows on how to be truly supportive and see what it takes to be the one that the girl will be proud. Finish college(3rd year now) as soon as possible, get ready for Graduate school. Gain accounting experiences while in graduate school, and start getting involved with the management of my father's business in korea. Few days ago when I talked to him over the phone, I realized the old man is getting really old. I know how every minute feels like to them, and its about time I realize the seriousness and let them be depedent on me soon, not the other way around. Overall, be stronger, be happier, be optimistic, and don't ever take anything as granted.

2006 Review:
Mostly great memories of 2006. It definitely was one of the better years. Plus I learned a lot of things. And got to order my E91! 2007+ Plan: I'm going to take over my fathers business, earlier than we both thought. I do not feel quite ready for it by now (I still feel like the little kid), it's pretty challenging sometimes but also very fascinating. This will be the biggest thing in my life so far, never thought i would be self employed by the age of 30. I will do my best to fill out my fathers steps he made in this business for over 40 years now. Strangely, I'm feeling the exact same as you, lux. My old man is getting really old, too. And: Quote:

Start my family.
Reform my partnership. Work on my investments. Hot lap my car until it overheats and blows up.

2006 is a good year for me. i got my first car and my first architectural job before i graduated from the 2yr program last May.
2007 plan is to learn digital architecture rendering so i can do the renderings for the small firm i work for. save as much and get ready to transfer to a university next fall for bachelor's degree in architecture. stay away from relationships for maybe the next five years so i can concentrate on finishing studies really fast. (not unless i meet somebody who is super hot and doesnt think like a teenager.) i hope i wont. dont really need distractions right now. life is good. might as well enjoy it as it is right now.
