Spring Schedules
Yeah it's my last semester and I find out today when I went to advising to sign up for my classes last semester they didn't really look at what I was taking and I ended up taking a class I didn't need
But whatever, I need to take 7 classes to graduate so here it is, unless I change it around again. Marketing Strategy MW 8-9:20 Operations Management MW 9:30-10:50 Retail Management MW 2-3:20 Consumer Behavior TR 8-9:20 Promotional Management TR 9:30-10:50 Global Strategy & Policy TR 11-12:20 Event Marketing (General Motors Internship !! ) TR 12:30-1:50 Post up your schedules if you made them yet, and if you have graduated already you can pretend lol.

I have no idea what I do from day to day. I have no idea really sometimes what I do. The closest I get for a schedule is:
8:00 - 8:30 Coffee Time 12:00 - 1:00 Lunch 2:30 - 3:00 Coffee Time 4:30 Yabba Dabba Doo! Repeat ad infinitum, ad nauseum...

thanks
it's funny everyone asks me when i say i'm graduating "so how many years, 5? 6?" and i'm like "uh 3?" lol. then they're like "i thought you looked young" haha. i'm thinking about going to grad school right away but they say they require 2 years of post undergrad work experience at unc and duke so i dunno. i guess i will just work, but maybe i should try contacting them and asking if that is something they are lenient about. i will have work experience but only like 4 months at a marketing firm and that isn't post undergrad so idon't know if it even counts at all.

The GM internship is a small 3 credit class offered at my school with instructor permission only. Luckily I am the VP of AMA (American marketing association) an d the professor that does the GM internship is the counselor for AMA. Basically he said we go to a car dealer, last year was Chevy and probably this year as well, and they tell us what new product they want us to market for them. Last year it was the HHR and they did a car show with a game show feel like price is right, and it was called "Chevy's Price is Right" and they had games and prizes like the show and I think one person won an HHR. It seems like such a fun thing and great experience for me since I want to do automotive marketing. I'm really excited about it.

Congrats Nikki. Sounds like a large load!
Well my "plan" is to take 2 classes during spring/fall, and 1 during summer so that I can get done in 2 years. But it really drained me out this semester. OTOH I don't want to slack off because I want to get done with this ASAP. I don't have much of a choice... Spring course offerings (online, distance learning): 1. Real-Time Embedded Systems 2. Human-Computer Interaction 3. Software Quality Assurance *yawn* I either wait for the courses I want, or just take what's being offered to satisfy requirements for the many categories I need to satisfy. I'll most likely do the latter since I'm sure the courses I want will be offered in time as they cycle through the semesters. I'll probably takes 1 + 2 above. I enjoy software engineering / coding but QA is unbearable. BTW I found it real helpful to work first before jumping into my MS. I was between doing Comp. Sci. again or an MBA, but work really opened my eyes to how things go, got a taste of reality (I kinda missed the care-free days of being in school as a full-time student LOL!). Ultimately though I realized that while I may still want an MBA, the timing wasn't right for me. I want to stay technical for now, and switching to an MBA so soon would mean going down a different path w/o technical experience. But it depends on what you want to do and if you're sure that's what you truly see yourself doing.
