Would walking up stairways keep you from going to a club / lounge ??

As the thread title states .... If you were to go to a Club / Lounge, and that place was filled with the people, music and drinks you want to enjoy in that night, but its located in a 2nd floor and had no elevators, would you still want to go ???

Would having to walk up and down through stairways to get to the lounge keep your from wanting to go to that place time after time?? Or would it really not matter if the place is what you like ....

Please share your thoughts and opinions...

Yes, because I wouldn't want to get trampled when somebody gets stupid or there is a fire.

Not at all. I mean it kinda sucks cuz you cant really tell how packed it is and what they are playing but other than that it wouldnt bother me.

Are you trying to open a club up? Or are you just curious?

Why would 1 flight of stairs deter someone from going to a club/lounge? I've gone to a lot of places that have a stairway to go through. Maybe I'm missing the point?

I wouldn't mind as a lot of clubs are like that. I mean since you can't build out in tight spaces you must build up.

Most popular clubs in NYC are 3-4 floors anyway.

ADA doesn't require an elevator for a second floor; you shouldn't either.

Not true ...Only if law of "equal access" is followed thoroughly and can be proven if taken to the court. In another words, anything available upstairs must be downstairs also - exactly the same.

Do you know what the irony of that statement is?

BTW, this isn't an all clubs are upstairs with no elevators issue. With such little facts, hypothesizing on a hypothetical situation is just a waste of time.

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest .. One of my favorite Irish Bars was up a good stretch of stairs. Loved that place....
