Ride quality, interior quality (except the seats), the M3 feels smaller. The GTR is a big car, kind of unwieldy on city streets. "Being seen" doesn't matter to me, if it did then I would want to be in the GTR for that, because it gets way way more attention. At least twice as much.

So now I have driven the GTR, my own M3, and a 997 GT3 on the same roads. I'd still like to try the Z06 and the 997TT on the same roads, too. Of the three I have driven I think the GT3 is still the best of all. It doesn't have the crazy acceleration of the GTR, but it is solid as a rock and just feels amazing to drive. Once Porsche fixes PDK and uses paddles instead of buttons I think the turbo will be the way to go for a mixed duty car.

yeah but like any car including the M3 you'll eventually get used to it and want more. but for initial excitement i think the GTR is more so than the M3, because of the acceleration. You don't even really hear the engine or exhaust. You roll the windows down and floor it from a second gear roll and all you hear is the whooosh of air blasting through the windows faster and faster and you feel the torque in your chest and shoulders. There is nothing really like the kind of torque hit that turbos deliver.

Yeah I prefer smaller cars for DD too. Although I think I would suck it up for the GTR.

That exhaust sounds great.

Nice rides!!

I drive the little M to work and around town errands.

How big is the GT-R compared to the G Coupe?
