This one is old, but not alot of people get it......
There are two rooms. One room has 3 light switches, the other room has three lights. There's one door connecting the rooms together. There are no windows or anything on the walls. You're in the room with the switches....your objective is to figure out which light switch turns on what light by only opening/going thru the door once. How is this achieved? |

Ok, 3 guys go out to eat and their tab comes out to $75. They split the check 3 ways and they each pay $25. Their server takes their money to the cashier, who then decides to give them a $5 discount, of which he keeps $2 for himself and sends $3 back to the table. Each of the men at the table receives $1 back which then means they each only paid $24.
$24 x 3 men at the table = $72. $72 + the $2 the cashier kept brings the grand total to $74 What happened to the other dollar?? |

You math'ed it out of existence. LOL 70 / 3 = 23.33 (price actually paid per person for food) 2 / 3 = .66 (cost of cashier theft, per person) 3 / 3 = 1 (amount brought back to table by waiter, per person). So in essence, each person actually paid $23.33 for the meal, suffered $0.66 theft, and was refunded one dollar. (23.33 * 3) + (0.66 * 3) + (1 * 3) = 75 |
