Check this out. I thought about buying it until I fell in love with my 1. Now there is no turning back.
But this is one nice Corrado: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3657830

^^^Amazing condition...the design of the Corrado (outside) was light-years ahead of its time. Its design could still stand today with a slight reworking of the front-end (new headlamps, grill for example) but other than that still a looker IMHO...

That solved the dated interior right away! There used to be one knocking around my part of town with a PSG Rieger body kit! It turned a pretty, timeless design into an 80's monster! . |

Yeah, I'm not that far dude. But, I think my money would be better spent on a winter car. I was looking at getting a Benz 4matic sedan for booting around in the winters...
I don't know though, I could be convinced otherwise...

You guys are funny.
I highly doubt I'd buy another Corrado again, maybe if I had a full set of tools and my own garage would I venture myself into the C world. As nice and as fun as they were, they're nearly 20 years old, even the ones that are in great shape on vortex + modded, maintenance would easily remind you why you sold your in the first place, and parts are not cheap. I remember I was at the VW parts counter almost every other week, I knew the guys there by first name. Don't get me wrong, it was a great car and I had very fond memories of driving her, but nowadays, if I were to get into another VW, it would be a simpler mk1 GTI 8v or a mk3 GTI VR6 instead as a secondary car to tinker with.

Good to see the Corrado hasn't been forgotten! I had a 1994 Corrado VR6... aside from a blown tranny following a 12-hour drive from Toronto back to the east coast the day after I picked it up (it was a dealer demo car), which was fixed under warranty, it was actually very reliable. No mechanical or electrical glitches, and extremely well balanced for a front driver.
A bit quirky looking, but those who "got" it, loved it!!! Good times.... |

The Corrado had that angular, Delorean look. Very 80s, but sort of classic. If you're into investing in collector cars, a nice Corrado would be a smart move.
