My parents are from Punjab, the Pindhs of Jallahnder actually. I was born and raised here in Canada but in a manner completely desi; I can speak Punjabi/Hindi/Urdhu completely, can turn the accent on/off on a whim and can choose to blend right in when I go to India.

My friend was trying to convince me to get the plates "JATT BMW" for my car but I thought that was too tacky, he's rolling around in his Hummer with the plates "JATT H2" heh.

BTW, does anybody know where I can get a bottle of either "Chak Dey Phattay" Whiskey or "Kuch Nai" Scotch? Supposedly you can get it in the UK but I want a couple bottles, one to give to my dad for his birthday and another for a conversation piece

Ask your local desi liquor store...they can usually order it for you. A lot of white people suprisingly enjoy drinking old monk and 8pm.
