Lightening SOCAL
did anybody hear it, see it, or feel it?
when the lightening blot struck i was on e90 post (in computer class). It felt odd when the lights flickered on and off and see the computers have flicker as well. honestly i dont believe it was thunder. i felt the tables shake when it happened. one girl said they saw a bright light seconds before it happened. i thought it was a sonic boom ahah. just posting this cus we dont usually have lightening/ Loud thunder around socal...so this was a rare occurrence. your thoughts? *if you heard it, name your location please. im curious to see how far it was heard im located in cerritos (LA county)

well prolly cus your far from my area. there was a storm gathered up right above my school. and they made announcements about investigating the lightening that struck. later they concluded the lightening struck a light post on the 91 near the studebaker exit

witnesses saw the lightening strike down to earth. and when the lightening blot stuck the light post on the freeway it must have made a loud boom noise. alot of ppl came out of their classes because the sound triggered a lot of students/ faculty's cars

But there could be explanations to this...
-thunder could be the source of the loud boom sound...but when the loud noise was heard, i felt a bit of a shockwave seconds later... -lightening for the huge flash of light but can you explain the shaking of the tables when it happened? everybody felt them shake fershure
