Has anyone gotten a 'fix' for the brake recall?

IIRC this was put out close to a year ago and, as far as I know, BMW hasn't put out a fix to their dealerships yet. My brakes work just fine but if there's some sort of problem brewing it would be reassuring to get it addressed.

Has anyone gotten a call from their dealership that a remedy has been found and is now being applied/installed in existing vehicles?

Checked with my service manager last week and still not available for me. In other threads, some other users have indicated they have gotten it.

I got a letter in the mail saying there was a recall. Then, months later, I got a letter saying there wasn't a recall and sorry for the incorrect previous letter.

Yes just had that done two weeks ago.
I had no issues so don’t know if works but better be safe than sorry.

For my eSIM they had to install new 11.2024 twice. It connects all the time now and get calls even if I left phone at house. But if my phone is on the bmw WiFi it’s very slow. And my Bluetooth audio doesn’t work. All this without being on CarPlay.
So I just have phone not auto connect to WiFi
But if then I have CarPlay enabled it won’t connect unless I’m on bmw WiFi.
I don’t recall being like this before all that eSIM issues prior to the 07.2024 update.

I don't recall it being slow but I do believe that Apple carplay needs to be on Wi-Fi even if it's not connected to the esim

Mine was one of the few that was affected by the recall. Mine was fixed / replaced on October 16. Knock on wood, the problem hasn’t come back. I love my i5! So much smoother and quieter than the model S!

Mine is currently at the dealer. I got the letter saying the part was in 2 weeks ago. They also said they would fix the second recall that just came out, and the eSIM issue. Right now, my car is just sitting as they don’t have a technician available until late Friday to look at my door issue. The entire rear driver side door is filled with water. Not sure how it is getting inside, but it’s like a bucket full of water, not just drips.

When I was checking in, my SA said there was a second recall. It doesn’t show up when I look it up, so I guess I will see when I get the car back.

I bet the second "recall" is just the fix for the eSIM issue. I didn't see two recalls on my car, but the dealer said the same as yours when I took it in. When I asked him about the second recall, he said it was to fix the eSIM and it involved simply applying the new iDrive version.
