540i Battery Issue?
I took delivery of my 2024 540i last May and have loved it. Last night I was driving and this message popped up on the main screen:
“Power Supply: Stop carefully. Do not continue driving. Continued driving will lead to malfunction of safety relevant functions. Battery cannot be recharged. Call roadside assistance.” I’m waiting to contact my dealer’s service department tomorrow, but am wondering if anyone has seen this. It seems like seven months is a little early for the battery to fail. Thanks. |

**Update: The message disappeared after the car sat for two days, but I had my dealer service department take a look. Turns out when they checked codes, they found a software error for the 48 volt inverter. They performed a complete encoding of the car and no fault codes have reoccurred. I hope that resolves the issue because I love the car, even more than my previous ‘19 M5!
