Follow up on "seat moves back upon entry" post

I can’t recall who raised this, but I think I found out why this situation happens when I got into my G60 the other day. If you push back against the seat when you get in or as it starts to move forward after buckling the seat belt, then it will start to slide back as a safety measure; I think to prevent someone being squashed by an overly aggressive seat position. It seems to reset itself once you unbuckle and rebuckle the seat belt.

The search function doesn’t seem to be working for me, but if someone knows which thread this was in I’ll gladly cut/paste this over there and delete this thread.

Yeah, whenever I put on the seat belt I have to make sure I don't push back on the seat because if it encounters too much resistance, it will move back. I used to do that a lot because I would press on the brake to turn on the car right after buckling up - now I just sit there and wait for the seat to finish moving, then I go about my business.

It has happened to me a couple of times that the seat doesn't move forward when I buckle up. I just push the 1 button and it does set up fine. I never thought I might be pushing on the seat. I'll have to pay attention if it happens again.
