I had the same problem, but after leaving my car with the dealership for a whole week, they manage to fix it, no more rattle sound.
Here is their report: 1. performed extensive test drive on vehicle at highway speeds and rough terrain 2198km-2210km. was able to replicate for very short moments. noise at this time seems to be coming from under headliner. lowered headliner as per repair instructions and inspected, checked for correct routing of wiring and secureness of clips, installed some sound deadening foam in areas that may have risk of contact. re performed test drive 2210-2215km found noise to minimize but still be present sometimes shifting from left side to right side. removed and inspected right rear door panel and lips found all okay, checked wiring for correct routing and found okay.. opened tsara case and was advised to inspect AC line that may be making contact with brace. inspected and fund there to be no issue or contact. performed another test drive2215-2220km, had tech sit in rear, found noise to be more apparent from the rear deck/rear window shade area. disassembled rear deck lid area as per repair instructions. inspected all components/clips and connectors. for rear window shade and rear trim panels. installed felt tape in contact areas of rear window shade and re assembled rear deck/trims and panels. performed extensive test drive and found there to be no more noise at this time. performed multiple drives throughout the day and rattle noise appears to be gone at this time. test drive km out 2220km back in 2230 |

I’m really impressed with your service center. Rather extensive. I seem to have the same issue on mine…but I do not have the sunshade option. It’s very intermittent and actually a rare occurrence. But…I’m stuck on it. I take comfort in knowing that this is a forum unlike any other vehicle forum, the common theme being the “OCD-ness” of its members. Ok, maybe Porsche. That’s why I feel at home here!
I’m adding an addendum to this post, utilizing the edit function: I found the annoying rattle source. It was the front passenger seatbelt strap. The “stop” on the belt was at its lowest placement. The metal latch was hitting the plastic covering of the lower pillar. All fixed! Last edited by NonFormulaic; 12-27-2023 at 10:51 PM.. |
