Detailer Damaged My Seat, Replace or Repair?
My detailer ripped my driver's seat's bolster because they had someone who doesn't work there to pull my car into the shop. They want me to repair the damage, which many of you know is just "painting" it. But to replace the whole upper seat skin, it would cost around 2 grand.
I feel bad for them to have to pay for that but at the same time I feel bad for myself that my 4 month old car has to go through this... AITA for asking them to replace it? |

Their fault and if it’s a legit shop they must have insurance. Accept nothing less than a seat skin replacement.

+1, 100%. That's why reputable businesses have insurance. You're entitled to have your car returned to you in at least as good condition as when you left it in their hands. Accept nothing less!
