Isn't piss like a natural fertilizer or something? I dunno. I just remember learning about that from this movie called the "Fastest Indian".

I think it is too acidic and concentrated and need to be watered down before use. Plus I think lawns are a little bit more sensitive than lemon trees.

I saw an infomercial the other day about this fertilizer stuff that comes in a container, they said it works unbelievably well for dog marks on the lawn. Cant remember the name though. I have the same problem. I'll try and get the name.

I have two dogs. Pee from the male dog doesn't cause any issue. Pee from female is the one which kills the grass. We statred giving GREENUMS and the problem is solved.

Uncle's got the right idea. Most of the time the problem is from the females since they squat and males lift their legs. The issue is that dog urine contains a lot of nitrogen the high concentration of urine in one spot is what kills the grass. I would not mess with the dogs diet to change the content of the urine, that may mess up the dog. What I have done is watch were the dog goes and then water the hell out of the area afterwards. You can always walk your dog to the same spot instead of letting them have the run of the yard. Other than that you gotta deal with it.

well my dog is neutered, he got neutered right out of the pound as a requirment when he was a puppy. Even tho he is a male, he pees like a girl tho... so I guess that fits the female description... I'll try both and let you guys know how it turns out.
Meanwhile, if you guys got any more magic ideas, please let me know. |

2nd for the nitrogen issue. Dog urine is very high in Nitrogen, which coincidentally is a key component in fertilizer. However, if you've ever over-fertilized, you know what happens if you get too much fertilizer on the lawn - you kill it - aka fertilizer burn.
So, look around for something to neutralize the fertilizer.

All about what to do for urine burns:
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/pic/ar...tid=196&aid=88 +1 on the GreenUMs - they come in pills as well as treats. I bought a bottle but never tried them with my grass killer.
